Pretty good volume, not as tooth rottingly cute as the rest of the series. Proably why this one felt off. I guess because it's apart of the college series rather than the high school series.

Anyways! The whole gang is here at the beach and it's pretty fun, just a nice summer read, perfect to wind down my own summer with. Got a nice night time at a beach house, midday in the water vibe.
Some drama of course, but it's not too overblown, like they actually deal with it well, and at one point Yamada realizes what she's worrying about is dumb (we love some character dev). Hana-chan is adorable, I love her. Kase's room mate is a bit annoying in this volume strictly story wise because she can cause unneeded fuel for jealously... please no more. But then again Yamada is slowly getting over her jealously (CD!) in this volume, which is great. It feels like padding drama. Kase and Yamada are a cute couple as always, a little it more mature. Meaning less diabetes inducing fluff I guess? I don't know how to describe it, I may be overthinking or my memories failing me. Idk they have nice moments together ofc, however they are separated alot. I know it's college but COME ON... AHHH.
I do wish they told the characters not in the know about the Kase-Yamada relationship though.
If Kase-san and.... is getting a bit bland or repetitive, I think this volume will serve as a treat.

I’m starting to get annoyed by our main characters - they’re falling into the same jealous, possessive patterns over and over again.

This series is so cute and upbeat! It always fills me with so much joy reading about these two. And this one was extra warm and fun since it took place in the summer in a cute little beach resort!

I especially love these post-high school chapters. It’s fun to see my girls going on new adventures and navigating the real world.

this volume really focuses on yamada's struggle with jealousy as it relates to kase. it's mostly handled well, and there are some very sweet moments, but it felt like time moved in strange jumps and stalls throughout the story. i'm not sure takashima has a strong idea of where the story is going, and is instead focusing on moments they want to create then filling in the gaps around that.
