This tiny gem of a novel will speak to the heart of anyone who remembers the first time they encountered an Apple Mac. It is an ode to the right to repair and a love song for misfit businesses that run on pure cane sugar.

Woman works at Tekserve until one day, out of the blue, she quits. Shrug.

Enjoyed for the history of Tekserve and Apple, which I did not know (but knew of). Also for the early internet references, which I always love.

The world used to be cool.

I enjoyed this tremendously but am still not sure what I think of it.

Interesting how some chapters were from the perspective of the machines but other than that kind of bland, story wise and character wise. Didn’t connect with characters personally and because they weren’t very dimensional.

A delight to read!

Short and sweet.

Would probably have enjoyed more if I read it in one sitting/one weekend. Alas.

Tamara Shopsin is (we know this) such a good writer! she writes small exterior happenings so well. I don't know shit about macs and i loved this.
