This book isn't doing anything new except name dropping brands to try and appear more current.
Stephaine's ex disappears the day after she chokes him in his office, and she becomes the prime suspect. With the usual bizarre FTAs, Lula, Grandma, Ranger and more, you never know what each page will bring. Lots of fun. 062307
Janet Evanovich just keeps getting better! Wow! I don't think I'll ever think about taxidermists in the same way ever again. This one was even more laugh out loud funny than any others. I catch myself literally laughing out loud while reading and my kids turn around and wonder what's so great about mom's book? I now have a hard time reading other writers, because they aren't as entertaining. Five stars for Janet Evanovich!

The adventures of Stephanie Plum continue. This one was pretty good, but I'm getting tired of her constantly staying at Ranger's apartment. This book didn't have as much chuckle factor as some of the others did. There was some deeper thinking with a couple of Stephanie's thoughts and I enjoyed that.

I enjoyed many of the Stephanie Plum series when I was a teenager and young adult. However, now that I'm older and have read a few of the more recent additions, I'd have to say I'm a little disappointed. There hasn't been much character development or movement forward. It's the same general routine for the main character. After twenty some books, you would think there would be a change.
I saw the movie and loved it, though some of the people picked for the cast didn't line up. Especially Ranger.
The series would be better as a tv show.

Still good. Not as good as they used to be. A lot of old jokes being used that were very funny at the beginning and aren't anymore. She needs new material. And Stephanie probably needs a new man.
This story ended up disappointing me a little, but overall, it was as good as any other books from the Stephanie Plum series. The story line was entertaining and I had no idea where it was headed. There were also some good plot twists to the story, which helped make it more entertaining. Stephanie Plum still manages to make me laugh, which is probably why I love those books so much.
The disappointing part was the ending, in my opinion. The ending of the story line ended up being quite usual, even though I have to admit it was brilliant. Also, I thought we would see Stephanie kick some ass, like she usually does, but this time, the "bad guy" just ended accidentally killing himself, which I thought was disappointing. Although I have to admit I really love how Stephanie handled the situation and how sassy she could be.

Stephanie's ex-husband goes missing. With their colorful history, Stephanie is left as the number one suspect. On her journey to prove her innocence, she stumbles upon multiple bodies. What seems like a straightforward case suddenly gets very messy very fast.
I enjoyed this novel very much. It was different than the rest of the Plum novels. There were some characters that played more of a role in this novel than they have in previous ones. Including Dickie Orr. If Evanovich was trying to portray him as a slimy weasel, she did a great job. It was very impressive.
There were a few factors I didn't like about this novel. There were many parts that seemed to fall flat for me. It didn't bring the normal humor to the story that the previous novels have. Also, there were certain characters that just didn't have the flair they normally have. Joyce being the biggest one. She seemed very tame and mild in this one.
I still enjoyed this story very much. While I would have liked for it to be packed with more humor and suspense, it was very well written. Just like all the rest of the novels. Evanovich is a talented writer who shows her passion in her words and descriptions. I fully recommend this series.
