How there was time to be repetitive and boring in a 3 chapter novella I cannot fathom. Plus the mistakes and the continuously changing tense! To top off the disappointment, it ended on an abrupt cliffhanger 😒
Pretty Pawn by Meagan Brandy
The author’s writing style is always a little strange and confusing, so half the time you don’t understand what’s going on and the other half I was like, these people just sound weirdly vague rather than bougie. Having said that, I was here for the major Cruel Intentions vibes I’m getting and would like to read more. This was also clearly a prequel short story, but the first book in series is not about the throuple that was teased? Why tho? The proofing was still atrocious.
