I think sometimes the art style really works, and other times it's just quite off-putting. The core concept is great, but it feels like it's trying way too hard to be gritty and edgy.
Graphic: Death, Confinement, and Violence
Moderate: Child death, Death of parent, Animal death, Child abuse, Kidnapping, Medical content, and Pandemic/Epidemic

Competent and interesting to look at, but aside from the central animal kid conceit, it's just a mess of unexamined apocalypse tropes, not much explored. Flows fine, fun to read, but I'm not sure there's any there there.
