FUN I just wish I could've seen each scrape performed as a stage bit instead - they need the Acaster delivery

First of all, I recommend reading this with James Acaster's voice in your head telling the stories because that just makes it work all the better.
I don't think a book has ever made me laugh out loud this often. I found myself stifling myself on public transportation at moments that were so funny I almost roared. Being the kind of person who doesn't really like too much attention, this book got me into a few almost pickles on trains and busses.
Also, currently burned out, I haven't been my usual self when it comes to the amount of books I've been reading. Last year I read only 12! If you know me, you know that means something's up. This was only my third book this year and we're more than a quarter of the way through. But I have to tell you, this book managed to pull me out of that reading slog. It's put a smile on my face more times than I've had a smile on my face in the last six months. And I am very thankful for that. Not only have I just finished this book but I'm also just a few pages away from the end of the Haunting of Hill House. I would have finished that, in fact, if I hadn't accidentally left it at my boyfriend's house. And that all thanks to James. Sometimes we just need a little (a lot of) laughter in our lives to find our good old selves again. Seriously this book and James is hilarious. So if you know neither, go look him up. He has shows on Netflix and a podcast with Ed Gamble and I'm sure there's a load of other stuff to find too. Once you've done that, read this book. I can imagine it still being funny if you've never heard of him, but I think knowing him already definitely made the book even funnier for me. Which is also the reason I picked the book up in the first place. Anyway, now I'm blabbering, go read! And laugh! And enjoy life. Cause we only have one of them and life can be bloody hilarious if you let it.

if you're looking for a good laugh, try this book. James acster is a very funny man (went to see him preform in Edinburgh a couple of times) and he can also tell a story in a way that will keep you interested.
