Solides, atmosphärisches Horrorbuch. Dieses Buch hat das Rad keineswegs neu erfunden was Horrorliteratur angeht sondern sich an klassischen Storylines bedient. Definitiv ein sehr solides Buch für Fans von Gruselliteratur. Mir hätte das Buch wohl besser gefallen wenn der Autor noch mehr Nutzen vom Thema Bodyhorror gezogen hätte denn dieses Thema beherrscht er offensichtlich sehr gut.

Loved this book. It was terrifying even before anything supernatural happened. The characters are well-drawn and believable. I felt like I was living in their world and I miss that. I devoured this in a few days and then regretted finishing it so quickly. Strandberg is shaping up to be one of my favourite current writers.

A creepy and brilliant novel that talks about how we deal with the older people and the horror that can be hidden even in the most nice place.
It's gripping and highly entertaining, it kept me hooked and it made me think.
The character development and the storytelling are excellent and I loved the growing tension and creepy factor.

När man jobbat på äldreboende och varit där även nattetid känns beskrivningarna väl igen. Lägg till att man dessutom är mörkrädd och tror på spöken... jag tyckte detta var en kusligt bra bok!
