I've said this before a and I'll say it again- The connection between Nick and you is amazing. I just love how Kenyon writes like that. I do believe that this book has a smidgen more of potential that it could live up to, but that might just be me. Besides that, I just absolutely looooooove this series so far. You can already see that Nick has learned from the past book. This is a series that has great promise, and I can't wait to read more in the next book, Infamous.

I love Nick..

What a good story. I'm glad I have the third book on hand so I can go ahead and continue!

book was awesome though the ending was rushed

This is a good story although I did like Infinity #1 better as a story line. I now need to see how all of these characters are going to develop so I must keep reading!

I enjoyed book 2 of the Chronicles of Nick but it just seemed kinda rushed. Like it was a placeholder for things that will happen in future books. It starts directly after book 1 with no time passed and then at the end of this book it jumps to at least 6 weeks later in the epilogue. I still like Nick, Caleb, Bubba, Mark and the gang but the "bad guy" for this book was kinda blah. When the first book your up against zombies a Coach who is making Nick steal stuff is kinda meh even if he's doing it for nefarious purposes. I'm hoping Book 3 is a bit better.

Where to begin? How about with the FRIGGIN AWESOME PLOT LINE of this book. I'm a huge fan of the first book and of the Dark Hunter series that was written for adults. Invincible was an amazing second novel in a series that is shaping up to become one of my favorite ones. Ranking up there with Maze Runner and Divergent in my personal opinion. I love the writing style of these books. It's very conversational and sarcastic which is a welcome change from some novels that are written like an admission letter from Harvard - which for the record is very formal - and couldn't seem relaxed if you gave the authors weed before they wrote them. Nick is charming in an effortless way and is much like most of the younger teenage boys I've come into contact recently, annoyingly attracted to anything with boobs and so caught up with puberty and the problems that come with it that they don't seem to hear most of what you're saying. The one character that I don't like is his mother, and I know that in my review of the first book I praised Mrs. Kenyon's writing of a realistic mother figure for the hero/heroine of the story. Now however Nick's mother's rants about safety and the absolute depravity that she thinks rules every human on earth is really annoying. The woman also seems to suffer from an acute case of bipolar disease unlike anything I have ever seen. I have never met a mother that acts anything close to the way this woman does. It's insane and completely unrealistic. Either write her out of the story or make her a little more sane.

I love the fact that Kenyon includes the arguably separate plot line that is Ambrose in his world. Ambrose is revealed to be the future version of Nick in the first book and he is meddling in things that he doesn't understand. Like his own time stream for instance. He adds the contrast the the book needs to keep the power that Nick was born with in perspective. Otherwise readers would probably think it's just some cool thing that won't have any side effects. When in actuality it has the power to corrupt him and turn him into the desperate man that is barely human which we see in Ambrose. Still even with Ambrose's being corrupted Nick is still shown in his sarcastic wit and desire to remain human even though it seems like every power in the universe is working against him.

Kenyon also does a good job in keeping the mystery aspect of the story from being revealed before she wants it to. I have no clue why Ash is bad news but it has something to do with Nick's not to distant future if Ambrose is warning him about it now, and I also have no clue who Nekoda is and who she is working for despite the appearance of the shiny golden god guy in a janitors closet in the first book. I like books that keep me on my toes and this does a pretty good job of it.

Overall this was a fun read that kept me turning pages to the very end and I'm eagerly awaiting my chance to read the third book. I'm probably going to start on that one after I finish The Dirt. Which I'm reading now. 4 Stars

invincible was in my opinion altough entertaining with nick's sarcasm and his over protective mother but there was very little action and the villien didnt really show up untill almost the end. Although the new character Death and returning characters of ambrose, archeron, and koba made the story complete in a way i would defentinly read it again even with the lack of action. so i would recomend this book to people who injoyed the first chronicles of nick book :D i personaly cant wait for the third book.

favorite characters : Nick, Death, Mark
lest favorite : Ambrose , Cheerleader chick who i cant remember the name of , stone.

In a sense I'm really happy that I didn't read Infinity till this book came out because Invincible picks up right where Infinity left us. Like the same night. Nick is with his friends after having survived the zombie apocalypse, knowing that nothing will ever be the same again. The very next day he wakes up to find that even more people want him dead.

This book held all the things that I loved about the first one. The characters are still a blast, Nick is still a smart ass, and there are plenty of supernatural creatures to go around. But this book is a little bit slower than the first. And the plot developed in a weird way. The ending seemed a bit rushed, by the time there were 20 pages left I didn't know how the book was going to wrap up at all, but it managed to do so.

Nick's eyes are finally open to some truths of the world. The book is enjoyable and a great sequel to Infinity. I just can't wait to get my hands on the third book cause the ending on this one was pretty awesome!! I mean, it isn't as fast paced and filled with action as the first one but instead it manages to answer a shit load of questions I was left with by the first book. Things I didn't understand became clear and I find myself learning more and more about the Dark Hunter world.

My favorite part of the book is still the dialogue though. It's filled up with enough sarcasm to make this girl fall in love. I heart me some wit. Nick is still a sweet heart, and darn I hope he stays this way. Buy it and read it, it's so worth it! Not better than the first one, but still a very strong second book!

Ok so this is the second review i am writing on this book since un-fucking-fortunately my 10000 words review got erased . Fuck ( excuse the language , i am having a fit ) . But back to the book . Best YA i have ever read . Lots of action and extremely gripping , i mean i loved every bit of it . The plot was awesome and the character's growth just amazing .
Nick is growing on me . He is also growing into himself . He is such a funny , witty and nice guy that sometimes you even wonder how come he's turned Ambrosius . I do have some minor concerns regarding some details which will be put as spoiler so BE WARNED !

Ok so i am so curious as to what Savitar meant when he told Ambrose that he couldn't ask ash anymore . I ruminated a bit over things and came to the conclusion that although Ash can't be dead , something must have happened to him . He can't be dead because that would have freed Apollyimi and hello world destruction . Yepp - so the Ash theory stands , but i am really curious about whats happened with him .
Second thing that had me thinking and thinking was the fact that Simi is now a very good friend of fourteen year old Nick so i can assume he won't be sleeping with her any time soon ( he knows shes Ashs daughter ) so things should change rather radically since as we all know Ash , he couldn't have cursed Nick for any other thing .
That should affect dramatically the future .
Secondly i have to say i really wish to see Ash and Nick buddies again ( not counting ash being my favourite character ) . I mean , i totally understand where Nick is coming from , having all that evil lurking just beneath his surface that that rage engulfing him and seriously , it has engulfed him . Ash was right when he said that even though he had the power it wasn't right and i have to quote him " Just because you can , it doesn't meam you should" and he is totally right , but Ash has had thousands of years of experience . He was aware that by reviving Cherise he would endanger the natural balance and one thing may trigger another and so on . So i guess each one of them is right in their own way , but newsflash Nick , your hatred is a danger to everyone !! .
That being said ( god i still have a lot in mind but my fingers hurt ) i will just add a few very very very nice quotes .
Ironically , young Nick's insight on his very own fate
" Well … he lets it ruin his life. He gets so obsessed with going after the one thing that hurt him that he loses sight of everything else. He becomes isolated from everyone and everything. Paranoid. He feels like he can’t trust anyone around him ever. In the end, he loses everything, even his life. And for what? Total stupidity, if you ask me.”

"Be careful whom you give your heart to, Nick. Make sure when you hand yours off, you get hers in return.” kyrian to nick

" Your father would have another child. That one won’t have your humanity. Your mother is what makes you special, Nick. Adarian’s next woman wouldn’t be her. His child wouldn’t be you. All of us are a culmination of vital parts of our parents and their pasts. A vital part of the circumstances we were raised with. Everything that happens to us, good and bad, leaves a lasting impression in our souls. You take one part of that out, and you can completely rewrite something crucial about us. By and large, we’re not shaped by the big things. It’s the little, day-to-day moments that make us who we are. Who we’re going to be.”
