This is my year of going, “oh.” After the first sentence, first paragraph of a book. This is my year of wondering, “what is it about this book that I love? It’s indescribable.” This is my year of defining prose to myself.

This book is so good. And it goes beyond the hook of Obituary Writer Drunkenly Writes His Own Obit. And it’s good in a way where if someone said, hey this great book? It’s about Death and Living and Human Connection, but that is a poor summary that can’t really speak to the experience of reading the book.

I just think it’s neat.
