saw a lot of reviews that this book shouldn’t have happened. that liz and wes’s story should’ve ended at the first book.
but i beg to differ, because this book gave the characters so much more depth—they were hurting. they grew. that’s part of life isn’t it? change is the only constant thing, they say.

Ugh I hate it when a trope (second chance romance in this case) sneaks up on me and I like it when I wasn’t expecting to 😝 Also, while I love college romance, I feel like there was a big jump in maturity and seriousness between this book and the first one? Not bad necessarily but definitely a tonal shift. I did feel like the writing was stronger here, although the characters felt a bit like different people than in the first book - maybe also more well rounded? Time has passed, but I was still surprised by the stark shift in personalities from book 1 to book 2.

Life is full of unexpected things and you just have to make the best of it, but always remember: you’re the main character in your story🎞️ I didn’t like this Wes and Liz -sequel as much as I liked the first book about them, but the ending in this one was absolutely brilliant!😍
”I was carpe diem-ing the crap out of my life, throwing myself into every single moment because I knew firsthand how fleeting those moments could be.”
Kaikki ei aina mene niinkuin strömsössä mutta tärkeintä on kuitenkin tehdä parhaansa ihan kaikessa - sillä tavalla mihin siinä hetkessä pystyy, eikö niin?🫶
