i actually finished this book, which is surprising because thrillers tend to bore me and i give up halfway through. i liked this book though, i thought it was written very well and kept up pacing so i didn't really get disinterested.
the flipping perspectives culminating into a joint story is SO cool and really well done. the crux/issue that's the inciting incident for the plot is kind of iffy and i don't quite know if i enjoyed how she handled the more sensitive issues in the book. i really did enjoy learning about business culture though, it's very interesting.

Well that was a fun read! This is my second book by the author, even though I received this one first from NetGalley. I had an issue with the formatting and put it down after trying a few times to get through it. Then I promptly forgot about it.
After reading and enjoying [b:The Night Swim|51169341|The Night Swim|Megan Goldin|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1569898236l/51169341._SY75_.jpg|70932279], I dug The Escape Room back out and took the time to figure out the formatting issue and dove in. I'm so glad I did.
There are plenty of twists and turns and every time I thought I had it figured out, I didn't. Which I loved. I figured out who the mastermind was probably about or just before the author wanted me to and I wasn't disappointed at all.
Okay, some of the ending truly tested my ability to suspend disbelief but it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book.
Ms. Goldin definitely has a fan in me and I will grab up her next book as soon as possible.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for hooking me up!

4⭐️ I really enjoyed this book! I absolutely love escape rooms so I knew I had to read this book! I kind of wish that there was more of that escape room element where the characters were finding more clues and figuring out puzzles but I enjoyed the story and was definitely not what I was expecting going into it. I found myself binging the book but I did not love the audiobook version. I also felt a little confused at the end but overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend!

This was for the corporate girlies. It was also giving Promising Young Woman at times as well.
