3/5 idk
did not read the whole thing, just excerpts for class
marking it read anyway! lol!
mostly boring but sometimes fun, kinda felt like when your friend from another school is telling you about school drama involving people you don’t know

surprisingly alright, despite Herodotus' rambles (to which he ends after two pages about someone's uncle's cousin, "but i digress. I must now get back to my story." I'd appreciate that, thanks Herodotus.)
another college read.

This book was SO painful to read. I can only imagine how boring it would sound in Latin or Greek. Luckily I didn't have to read all 500 pages of the book, only around 200 for my class but it was a really slow read and only one part out of the ten or so we read was actually interesting. He even made the battle that the movie 300 is based off of boring as hell.

I read this with my daughter for her course on Ancient Greek History. I expected it to be dry but it was actually very witty and sometimes hilarious.

All I have to say is that Herodotus may be the biggest and most dedicated gossip in history.
