This book put me into a deep reading slump. Nothing really happens, and it's unclear what the point of the plot is. While I usually enjoy reading about depressed 20-something women, this was just lacking in the department.
This was a quick and easy read and had little to no plot - which I do enjoy sometimes! Reminded me of Happy Hour by Marlowe Granados but less depth. Not really taking anything away from this...

1.25* unimpressive and unfunny, seems to be trying a bit too hard to be edgy without making any sort of point. did like reading a book based in toronto, and that one discussion between jane and anna in the park, but beyond that i could not really enjoy it. also, strange to me that the synopsis focuses a lot on the time spent in london, but when you read the book, it's quite brief and unimportant.

One of the very few examples of "no plot, just vibes" done well
Plotless, surface-level, boring. Not nuanced enough while overdoing the apathetic addicted white girl trend of the recent years.
I'm really bored of women in their 20's with alcoholism as a plot device
I added this to my 'want to read' list when I was 22, 2 years ago, when I was at my absolute worst mentally and plotless books about sad girls in their 20's was all that was getting me through, but I'm better now and these kinds of books accomplish nothing anymore. I know 24 and 22 don't seem all that different but I think I've matured past the need for this kind of thing
