I enjoyed the read, and hope that it will help me avoid several fallacies (or self-lies? even..). Several of the figures and tables were not clear and not well explained -- maybe this was to force the reader to use "System 2" and really take in the contents? :) There were also a few typos that I found annoying. The book was a bit of work to read (again, maybe this is good, according to the author's hypothesis). But I enjoyed this survey of a psychologists overview of the "basis" for behavioral economics.

This was definitely a worthwhile read, but it could have used some polishing to be an even better book.
informative slow-paced

The ideas about how flawed human decision making is interesting but the book is just too long and dry, could have covered the same ground more succinctly

Phew... this was a long one.
The data was quite intersting, although lots of it is pretty widely known already these days and hence the book was probably more of a revelation back when it came out.
While technically interesting this book dragged on forever. It felt very repetitive at times with plenty of studies coming to the same conclusions. I wish the whole thing had been shortened by A LOT or just written in a more interesting way.
I'm not a fan of just reading summaries, but for this book I would recommend a summary over reading the whole book.

Illuminating plus practical theory. Also good theory-diagramming. I got love for diagrams. Long read though. Worth it for the basic knowledge
challenging informative reflective slow-paced

Some explanations and methods of the studies discussed in the book felt limited in their scope and did not do a good enough job detailing other possible factors that may of contributed to the results of some of the studies.

I felt like I wanted to dig into each of the studies and dissect them down further to see their shortcomings, but I felt too lazy to do that, so I'm letting System 1 take over because my ego is depleted.

Still, the book was insightful in how rational cognitive function is less rational that we like to believe.
