An incredibly powerful and super unique story about the Japanese/Japanese/American incarceration camps. This story is both sci-fi AND non-fiction. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about how our government treated its own citizens during WWII. And I haven't said anything about the wonderful art! Kiki Hughes is a real talent. I can't wait to read her next book.

I enjoyed learning from this book and applying it to my life. With it being a graphic novel the story is brought to life with even silent moments, moments that are sometimes very loud in its importance.
The premise was refreshing, however, the main character was too wooden to relate to.
