I love the cover and the blurb for this book, but unfortunately I stopped reading it at around 10%. I wasn't able to immerse myself in the story, and even the first chapter wasn't able to grab my full attention. I'm all for body positivity romance stories, and I was so excited when I got approved to review it. However, I thought I'd love Crystal and what she was doing, but she looks like a petty person toward the man who "steals" the equipment she was going to use. He suggests sharing and taking turns with the equipment but she all wants it for herself, and now she makes it her mission to berate him every time he does something she doesn't agree with at the gym. They also start behaving like children, like hiding each other's phones.

What I really enjoyed so far in the book is that that as Crystal is a fitstagrammer, she posts body positivity messages and campaigns as if they were really on Instagram.

I received an ARC through NetGalley, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Cute book and I really appreciate the plus size representation! I also like that the book emphasizes the importance of respecting and accepting your body even if you don’t love it all the time. This has been a huge part of my journey and it’s so refreshing to see it reflected in a book!

Cute little popcorn romance you can read in an afternoon with a little spice. I can’t quite put my finger on what fell flat for me here but it just feels like very average romance. It’s short & sweet and tackles some heavier topics around influencer culture and online bullying / hate comments and fat shaming but it’s very surface level and lacks any depth in those conversations. I would’ve liked to see a little more of something added to the ending to round it out a bit more.

Feeling slightly torn about this one.

I know I enjoyed it because I didn't move from my sofa the entire time reading it but I'm finding it difficult to pinpoint which points I actually liked and which I didn't.
Usually books that have a lot of pop culture references I personally find quite cringe and this had loads of those but in the context it didn't really bother me. There were other aspects of the book too where in any other context I would have hated it but for some reason it was fine. So on a whole for me this book was fun and just fine really.

I will probably read Exes and O's at some point because I'm nosy and also Trevor seemed quite sweet.
