Quick passed and easily read, the book really discribes the dreamwold of a shopaholic. However it doesn't focus on the addiction, not on the romance. It concentrates on the economical aspect and on the banks. But it is funny and cute in its own way, up until the end, that for me was a disaster really.

Second time through this book. Such a good quick, easy read to throw in for the beach. Obviously, I related to the frivolous, shopaholic protagonist.

First time I reread it since the movie came out. I was write to have issues with the film. Gah.

I'm enjoyed this book...it is lightweight to be sure, but I found myself laughing outloud almost everytime I pick it up to read a few pages. The voice of the book was fun, but I wasn't found of the cliche ending.

This book was absolutely terrible. It was not interesting at all until the last 100 pages and even then it wasn't that great. The main character was irritating and the only reason I finished the book was because I had already read so much to see something good happen. I would not recommend this book.

I remember picking this book up because it came highly recommended by several friends. When I finally considered reading it, I looked at the premise of the book (a person suffering from shopping addiction) and I had to wonder why there were already several books in the series that still carried the same theme.

That should have been a sign of bad things to come.

There are few books that I dislike more than this one--and this is with me suspending disbelief and giving it much more of a chance than it deserved. The author had built up the protagonist's shopping addiction to become such a destructive and useless habit that I am never able to reconcile with how she can't ever seem to learn her lesson. (Hence the need for X more books to fill the series.) How can we reward her for this when all the other events in the book clearly indicate that what she has been doing is clearly unhealthy and should be stopped? :(

I can't. I just can't.

Loved it! Didn't think I'd enjoy it so much - I judged it by its popularity (shame on me!). It was laugh out loud funny, and Kinsella's heroine, Rebecca Bloomwood was so bumbling and endearing, you can't help but love her.
