Everything about it was peak. I loved how we got to know the characters. The first half of the book focused more on them. We got A LOT of characters but they were all interesting. There were some that anoyed me but there were also some that i liked, especially near the end. They were really unique, not just some side character for the murder.
Also THE TWIST. Like hello?? I was clearly not expecting it. I was really thinking that it was gonna be Jim, the avocat. Like in the wall there was the letter J (just like his name...), he was trying to found the tissue with the other girl (the tissue they found with THE GUN) so he had opportunity to take it, he also had time to take the gun by himself. He was really sus, i wasnt so wrong tho. He was an avocate but here to protect her from a scam and not to kill her..
I just loved the twist honestly. It made all sense like it was just soo good. It did made me sad honestly tho, how they both died in the end.. i had mixed feeling about Simon, i still dont like him tho. Like he had it all but he wanted always too much. I loved Jackie, she just loved Simon. She didnt care about the money, she just wanted a happy life with him.. Also, there was Linnet. I dont hate her, but its still wrong for her to try stealing the fiancé of her BEST FRIEND like wtf?? And she says that she was in love and all. Like thats not an excuse, plus he wasnt interested in her for a while. He only wanted to marry her to kill her. She was also kinda narcissistic, her whole life she got everything she wanted so she thought she could also get the FIANCR OF HER BF. I mean she was still smart and all but still, that was kinda messed up ngl.
I also loved Poirot. I mean i just love him as a whole but this time i loved him even more. He solved it as always, there were some thing that i catch myself but he still cooked. He is just so smart omg. He is also human, like he isnt this surhuman detective who just catches murder and dont care about the rest (idk if i explained good enough), like he is realistic. He did feel bad for Jackie, he talked with everyone and even helped. He even helped Tim and Rosalie to be a couple. Honestly i love him.
In the end, this is one of the best Agatha Christie i read, it just had everything starting from the character, the romance, the revenge, the murder, EVERYTHING.

Really enjoyed this! The plot was intriguing and interesting with a complex twist that wasn’t easily guessed. I liked that there were lots of different subplots to keep things interesting.
This is probably the one instance in my reading experience where I do think having seen the movie ruined the book for me. I mean, I still enjoyed reading the book, but as I already knew whodunnit, it became more of a howdunnit for me, as I didn't quite remember every development in the various murders and methods/motives. I was constantly thinking "oh was it this", "oh no it must have been this", "oh that's right, that happened". I haven't rewatched the movie to compare, of course, but the broad strokes, to my memory, remain the same. The problem is that an author who is writing a mystery based around who committed a crime as opposed to one based around how a crime was committed has a very different approach, and the reading experience is very specific. I could feel that tension the entire time I was reading, which turned the experience from potentially one of enjoyment into one of mild frustration. Unfortunately, I didn't much enjoy the movie either, so the bargain I made was to sacrifice the greater reading experience for the lesser watching experience. Oh, well.
Poirot was still entertaining to read, and I was still impressed by Christie's ability to so thoroughly distinguish a quite large cast of characters with the written word. This is the second work of hers that I have read, and I had that thought during both books. I am bad with names and faces, yet I could probably describe everyone on the boat and their relation to everyone else, and come away with a passing grade if evaluated.
