This was fun! Not ingenious by any means and 3-4 too many characters to keep track of in a 350page book. The setting was fine but having 60% of the book take place on a boat on the Nile instead of any of the incredible places along the Nile (except for a paragraph or two) was a wasted opportunity. Most of the characters were mere caricatures instead of fully fleshed out characters.

It's a very bloated story. I did like the ending of the book vs the overly dramatic ones of both movies I have seen for this story. I did like the side character more in the book vs the movie as well. That being said , too many red herrings . I like her shorter workers without all the extra plot . I have always enjoyed murder on the Orient Express and this one had a lot of the same bloat but that one had a point because it was all of them.

За някои неща се досетих, за други - не. Някои развръзки ми допаднаха, други - не особено. Някои персонажи намерих за доста интересни, други - за откровено дразнещи. Неочаквано за мен самата книгата ми допадна бая. Лежерна и лека, чудна е за разтуха в края на работния ден. Изобилства от диалози, което прави четенето много бързо. Главите са кратки, а сюжета - преизпълнен с действие. Като изключим факта, че има нужда от още малко коректура, всичко останало гарантира наистина добре прекарано време. Определено няма да е последната книга на авторката, която ще прочета.

Decently mysterious and I had a good time going through it. I liked the build up of the mystery and the relationship between characters. The mystery didn’t seem forced, but some characters were a bit one-dimensional and boring. The ending and sympathy for the antagonist didn’t hit for me.

Also, I fully understand this is an old book but the casual racism goes crazy in this one for no reason at all.
