Sort of stumbled into this book. I have read very few of Christie's novels, but enjoy the complexity shrouded in simplicity. I kept seeing the movie in my mind as I read it I don't know which might have helped speed through it

'Death on the Nile' is a Hercule Poitot mystery and it takes place in Egypt, with an elaborate murder and quite an atmosphere.
The mystery was well crafted and the culprit hard to guess. Poirot is as funny as ever and the rest of the characters were also interesting.

Always like Poirot, although this is not my favorite of his.
It took me too long to read this novel, because it's hard for me to concentrate, these days, however it was a fun and very engaging read - even if I remembered fully well who did what. Not a mystery behind locked doors, but on an isolated boat in an exotic setting, which is a nice change from the grim July outside.
