The epitome of foreshadowing. You know what's coming so early but you keep hoping you're wrong, and then you're not but suddenly it's inevitable and ok. Gorgeous as always.

This may be my favorite in the series to date. I am a HUGE fan of Louise Penny and Chief Inspector Gamache. I want to go to Three Pines and visit the residents for whom I feel such kinship! This is a fantastic series for any mystery lover. I always pick up a new bit on history and I always dread the end of the book! Fear not, these murder mysteries are readable even for the most squeamish of you out there! Do yourself a favor and start from the beginning of the series. Don't binge read....savor them as treats in your book stash!

I am sucker for visiting with the lovelies up in Three Pines. While not the best in the series, definitely a solid effort with all the things I love about the Gamache books.

Ms. Penny made me laugh out loud, made me smile, and made me cry. This one was an emotional roller coaster. Only a good storyteller can rip your heart out and tear it up into a million pieces. It is with the utmost compliments intended that I say she broke my heart with the ending of this one. To say anything more is a huge spoiler.
This plotline actually began several books ago, so you must read them in order. I highly recommend the audio book version.
