Possibly my favorite since "Still Life". I understand and connect with Clara very deeply, and was glad to have the Peter/Clara story resolved. I also think I'm going to like having Gamache in Three Pines and getting to know Reine-Marie better.

Not the best in the series. Rather repetitive and bitty. Still, even at her not-best, Penny turns out a reasonably good one..

I love Three Pines and it's residents and this book kept me engrossed the whole way through but, I must say, I didn't like the ending of this one. It didn't satisfy as my favourite books do. That said, I look forward to my next trip to Three Pines.
I was really looking forward to reading this one after the over-riding drama of the previous books had passed but I found the plot to this one to be overly convoluted and not terribly well thought out; this is my least favorite so far.
