I was shocked by what this book had to offer. I understand why a lot of people don't like this book (the content can be quite graphic and overly-sexual), but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I would recommend giving this a read with the audiobook!

This book is so annoying there’s no plot and most of the writing feels like the author is trying really hard to be profound and smart but you can easily see through the facade. There’s a few good lines and the concept is interesting altho dark. My main issue with it is it takes until page 80 of this 154 page book for the concept to start the rest of it is the narrorator making you hate him and complaining. It wants to be a good book so bad but the author just isn’t a good enough writer to write a book of the caliber he’s reaching for.

I've seen a lot of people complain about how badly the book has been written, and honestly, I agree. But that's the thing. It's meant to be bad (the writing style, the misogyny, etc..) I enjoyed reading the book from a psychological perspective. To see why these people who are like Holden or Aisling act the way they do.  Although the ending wasn't my cup of tea.
I lowkey wanted them to be together and the ending really said haha jokes on you they don't. I would've preferred an ending were they end up together.

One man horrifically harasses women and then complains for 150 pages when someone does the same thing to him.

So, it’s actually pretty well written and an easy read, but is there really any reason to publish a book centered on female-abuse? About how one man “gets off” on emotionally hurting women, then asks us to feel sympathy for him when a woman uses him the same way?

Aisling was truly the hero of this story. One of the biggest “good for her” books I’ve ever read, actually. I hope she continues for fuck over men in peace.

Oh, and drop her name so I can support her photography. I want to buy her book.
