What a great novel! I don't read mamy fantasies, but this was was so well written and I loved the whole concept.

I am excited to read the next book in this series!!

Really enjoyed reading this book but at the same time had to remind myself a few times to pick it up and keep going. It is a fascinating and beautifully written world. I loved the blending of myths and true fabrications and really appreciated the author's note at the end explaining some of the origins. I did not expect the ending and am looking forward to the next book.

Wanted to DNF this book around 50% but kept going since it was hyped up so much.

It just wasn't the book for me but I'm glad I got to read it. A very diverse and interesting story but it was just too slow for me.

Beasts of Prey focuses on Koffi and Ekon who are hunting a Shetani. Koffi to pay her debt at the night circus and Ekon to win favor with the Son of the Six. Even though they work well together, each having different strengths they don’t completely trust each other.

My one real complaint are the Adiah chapters. I kept trying to find a connection to the main characters and by the time I was halfway through the book I was getting frustrated. Thankfully it all makes complete sense but it takes almost the whole book before that reveal.

I like Koffi and Ekon. There were raised completely different but both their experiences leave them wise for their age. Beasts of Prey ends leading right into book two. I did think Beasts of Prey was good overall. Everything came together nicely but I wasn’t dying to find out what happened next.

I received a copy of Beasts of Prey via NetGalley.
