I thought that I will never enjoy this book the moment I started reading it but once I got to know Holden better and understand him, I discovered that from all of the characters in the different books that I got to meet, my heart goes out with him the most. It was like I’m watching a part of me in the past as I read his story.

Then there are the touching parts with his little sister. I love it, I also love how he view things in his life. I know know why a lot of teenagers can relate to this book (though I’m not a teenager anymore, I still could relate). I’m so glad I was able to read this book

I loved it. I think I might be depressed.

The second last chapter is so beautiful. A great story about teenage rebellion. I wish it focused more on the relationship between holden and phoebe because that was honestly the best part.

I found it such a fun book to read. It’s interesting to see inside a struggling, teenage boys mind, and hear about his day to day life through his narrative. It feels like he is actually talking to you like a friend, being honest and open. Although he doesn’t like a lot of things, I believe this is due to the trauma he has experienced throughout his life at such a young age. Some people believe he is mentally ill or just annoying, but I think it is a good insight to the mind of a traumatised teenage boy who is misunderstood by society.
