Half a star deducted just because the pet names gave me a slightly icky feeling.

I never thought I’d hate a Zapata book but here we are. I was going to dnf this book in the first 1/3 but I kept going just for the sake of all Zapata’s books that I’ve read and loved. Nothing happens in this book and honestly I could care less about either of the characters. Zac is flat and super childish and being in Bianca’s head is exhausting. The nicknames were cringy. I’ve lost brain cells reading through there conversations. And you know you’d expect (as one would from a slow burn romance) a slow tension filled, romantic, build up. But there was no tension, no build up.
I was not disappointed because honestly from the first couple of pages I didn’t like the book and I kept my expectations lower than low.
