A brilliant historical fantasy from the eyes of two women caught between war and peace.

Set in 10th century Ireland, this tale follows the povs of Gormflaith and Folda. Two women on opposing sides of history, with drastically different motivations in life but both at the mercy of those in power.

Both of these characters were fascinating to read. Both starkly differently from one another, one a kind, naive woman finding her strength through hardship and the other a power driven, manipulative and hateful woman.

Their journey’s through this interwoven web of politics, scheming and the clashing of nations as new kings fight for power was intoxicating.
