I enjoyed this. I listened to it on audio. It was a dual narration. I prefer duet. But it was good. 

As for the storyline. It was wow. Poor Lilah. The things she endured. Her upbringing. It’s crazy. I like how obsessed with her Ky was. 
I’d say the story wasn’t super spicy. To me it was a bit of a slow burn. I felt like a bunch of the book was about the slowly developing relationship between Ky and Lilah. 

I’m looking forward to the next book.

This book was a tough read for me. I was interested in seeing how Ky and Lilah's romance worked out after reading the first book. Lilah was indoctrinated into her cult teachings and Ky was a wild, womanizing MC. The cult stuff ramped up even more in this book and was too much for me. I also had an issue with the way Lilah's character arc went towards the end. I didn't love that she didn't receive mental health counseling, nor did her sisters. That was a big miss in my book. That being said, I loved the way that Ky introduced Lilah to the modern world and that Ky and Lilah got their happy ending.

i was pushing through 😂😂 started in april and finished in july… woooow 

so heres the thing: its NOT a bad book. its really not unless you DONT like dark romance books with HEAVY HEAVY topics. but i stopped reading this bc i couldnt get over ky. like, he was annoying and caring at the same time and it made me so mad that i couldn’t concentrate on the book and decided to pick it up later on.

i think on the first book i wrote that the constant “bitch” was a turn off, and that still applies 😂

i rlly just finished this so i wouldnt DNF since i had like 30-40 pages to go and maybe skimmed like half 🤦🏽‍♀️

i def will not be reading book 3 for now since i read book 4 (my goal cause i wanted to be “fiel” to the book order but i said “fuck it” and read book 4 w/o finishing this one 😂) 


anyways, great plot, but the men are…. eh 🤣🤣 the spice is sososososo good, tho, cant deny that

I liked in this book the difference between Lilah and her sister. I liked how at just one moment she didn’t just decide she didn’t believe in her religion, and instead braced a more loving side of it instead.

Lilah story is so heartbreaking and I am so happy that she has finally found peace with a man like Ky that cares and loves her.
They learnt so much from each other and the storyline was defo better than the first book but I still can't get used to all the cursing, it completely ruins the book for me.

Nah but fr fr, all my homies hate every single elder AND Cain cuz wtttffffff? He really supposed to have some damn redemption arc too😒. Ion give a shit if he got nowhere else to go or nothing to do; he still hell-bent on Mae for cryin' out loud
