This book was not what I expected, and once the holidays ended I no longer had the motivation to try and push through it. Maybe I’ll give it another try next Christmas.
Definitely weird, but for the most part enjoyable. However, the passage about the "savages" was clearly a racist representation of Native Americans did me in.
I'm really underwhelmed by this! Too many names and Claus wasn't a likeable character in my opinion. :/
A fantastic Christmas story. Unfortunately, I read it on my iPod, so no artwork, but that's supposed to be excellent, too. I need to get the 2000 animated movie, so I can watch it again...
I remember watching this as a Rakin and Bass Christmas show, but didn't know it was based on a book. I really enjoyed the lore that this book provided, as well as a relatable and believable explanation for Santa and all of his activities. This will be added to my holiday reading list each year.
Very cute book. It has the same vibes as those claymation Christmas movies.
L. Frank Baum's The Life and Adventures Santa Claus is a delightful read. I just fell in love with Baum's Santa Claus.
