My new favorite book of mariana's, i loved this family so much
mariana did it again!! this one is definitely my favorite out of her books ive read. i loved the characters relationships so much and the kids were actually cute & not annoying
“You can’t always wait for someone else to do the right thing when you can do it yourself.”
This was so adorable. The slow burn was perfect, and I loved both Diana's fierceness and Dallas's gentleness (and how well they fit together). Josh and Louie of course were the cutest, and the little family they all made was so heartwarming. The pacing and the buildup of the relationship was just what I needed (although I also never wanted the story to end). The nicknames and all the small things and gestures throughout the book got me right in the heart, and I found myself smiling at every page.
Also I am never gonna get over the line
Spoiler
“I need you more than you need me, and that’s okay”Overall, I had a blast reading this. I'm not sure where Wait for It would go in my ranking of Mariana Zapata's books - I've sort of lost track at this point - but it's definitely up there.

okay, I didn’t think this book was going to be a five star read going into it, but it caught me by surprise. I LOVED IT. I felt so immersed in these characters’ lives and was so invested in seeing them learn to love and grieve and navigate their future. it was genuinely so sweet.
Mariana Zapata, the slow burn queen, does it again!
