Good slow burn for anyone who likes a build up of tension between the characters before they get together. Would have given it a higher rating but it did feel like a bit too much of a slow burn for me personally. I would have liked to see a bit more of the relationship unfold before the book ended. I also felt like involving her past relationship wasn't necessary to the plot because there was so much to unfold with the other aspects of the story already

"All I could think about as I stood there was that sometimes life gave you a tragedy that burned everything you knew to the ground and changed you completely. But somehow, if you really wanted to, you could learn how to hold your breath as you made your way through the smoke left in its wake, and you could keep going. And sometimes, sometimes, you could grow something beautiful from the ashesthat were left behind"

Vaya historia bonita, triste, dulce, enternecedora y perfecta. Mariana Zapata es una reina y ha escrito un libro precioso. Me ha gustado muchísimo. Los personajes son adorables y desde el primer capítulo ya estaba yo a tope con la historia. Una maravilla.

I really enjoyed this book!

I don’t think it’s taken me this long to finish a book in a whileeee lol, but that doesn’t mean anything bad here! I’ve been in a slump and I think this was just what I needed to get me out of it.

Dallas. What a man. He’s so kind and respectful and caring towards Diana and her boys, and it was fun to slowly get to know him (although I wish this was dual POV).

I also really liked Diana’s character, and appreciate how Louie and Josh didn’t get lost in the story, which tends to happen with most single-parent books. They were present in every single chapter, and they were never once forgotten.

Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot, but because of the slow burn, it made everything feel like it was happening too quick once it finally did.

she did it again! i am in love with this book, dallas, diana, josh and louie. honestly, mz wrote the boys so well, i am so happy with how they have been written. And don’t even get me started on those cameos, they made me so happy!

I don’t know, it was really slow, we didn’t get to see them together. It could have picked up the pace (knowing is 700 hundred pages). I loved the characters, na stage story.
Although the ending with the adoption thing did rubbed me the wrong way

I had forgotten how much I love this book omg..
I think I love Dallas more than Aiden
