Oh wow.

Wow.

This is the story of Holly and Dylan. Both college students who fall in love. Now here's the thing, Dylan has a secret. He's a prepper which means that he's from a community that's prepared for dooms day scenarios and other dangerous things. They always live in fear in case something happens. One day he wants to tell Holly about it and wants to show her a cave which functions as a shelter. What he doesn't know beforehand is that while going up the mountain he gets a call from his dad that something is happening.... So he takes Holly into the shelter.

The ending made me cry. It's so good. It's so sad. Bittersweet.

Sandra J. Paul did it again. She might become one of my favorite authors.

I have read this book in only four hours, it was amazing. I was so impressed by this flip book cause you can choose how you read the book. I loved it!

This book is a wonderful mix of romance, suspense, and personal growth, reminding us that, in the end, it’s all about the people we love and those who love us back. The story took me on an emotional ride—from butterflies and excitement to tension, sadness, and empathy. Though the pace is fast and sometimes feels rushed, it keeps you constantly engaged, never knowing what’s next.

I picked this up because of the intriguing cover, the sprayed edges and “upside-down” elements, expecting a casual interesting read, but it turned out to be so much more. Easily my best impulsive buy of the year!

Gotta say, those last few chapters + prologue did it for me. I loved Dylans POV's and his way of thinking. The idea of a book about a son of preppers and his struggles with this is really interesting!

I'm sure there are people out there that would enjoy this book alot more then I did though. A big part of the book was just romance and spice, which is just simply not something I enjoy.

This also is one of those books where you can turn it to read another POV to 'finish' the story, but I feel like that just doesn't work for a story like this.
