Literally the exact same plot as the first book except more repetitive and predictable. The amount of times Millie said that an item in the Garrick’s house was more expensive than anything she ever owned was so irritating. It was never funny. Also, she kept repeating that Enzo ‘knows a guy’… seriously? So cliche and just dumb. Having him have ties to the mafia was so corny and ridiculous. Also, what is this Author’s obsession with addressing the characters by their full names?? IM SO SICK OF IT! We don’t need to see their full name every single time you bring them up. And I also couldn’t stand how Millie kept trying to figure things out on her own and wouldn’t reach out to Enzo for help. Brock being in the story was also so pointless, they just wanted to put a love triangle between Enzo, Brock, and Millie. Except there was no love triangle because Millie never liked Brock. She was just using him to fill space until Enzo came back. I hated that. And acting like Brock was a bad guy for leaving Millie after hearing everything from the police? He was justified in being angry and breaking up with Millie. This book was not good, it was infuriating in a bad way.

Better than the first book in this series!

This story hooked me more than the first one so I am glad I continued this series. Liked the twist. A little predictable, but enjoyed it overall.

Freida McFadden did it again! Just when I think I know what’s going on, ten more plot twists happen.

I enjoyed the first book in this series more than this one, but nonetheless, I still devoured this book! There are a lot of similarities and repetitiveness from the first book, but still some good twists.

I want to see Enzo and Millie actually work together as a team in the third book!
