Christie is always worth the time, especially if you're needing a short(ish), comfort read, but this collection is rather forgettable. Poirot, Parker, Pyne, Miss Marple, etc. are all within but these are not the most memorable of their adventures.
On the whole, these stories were super forgettable.
2.33
The Mystery of the Baghdad Chest - 2.5/5 - It was fine but the motive was weak.
How Does Your Garden Grow? - 2.5/5 - Mid
Problem at Pollensa Bay - 3.5/5 - That was quite funny, though I did figure out the twist, but then again it was barely a mystery to begin with.
Yellow Iris - 2/5 - The explanation left much to be desired
Miss Marple Tells a Story - 1.5/5 - Good God I hope that this is not how all the Miss Marple books are written because I did not get on with the style, yikes. Also, I hated the mystery itself very much.
The Dream - 3/5 - The murder was extremely convoluted, but fine
In a Glass Darkly - 2/5 - I mean this was a cool concept but imagine being ready to leave your husband and then deciding to stay with him after he strangled you... Couldn't be me.
Problem at Sea - 2/5 - It was fine but once again Poirot ruins it with his hypocrisy.
I really like Christie's short story collections because each one is the perfect length to read before bed. A lot of reviews didn't like Parker Pyne but I would've read more with him!
A mix of stories, not just Like it mysteries. His were the best, though, of course.

Book thirty-one in my personal read through of Agatha Christie in (American) publication order.
I was disappointed that a couple of these were repeats from previous book, and a couple of the others were... odd. Definitely not the standard murder mystery with justice dispensed at the end format.
Everything else in here was exactly the classic/cozy mystery story I was looking for though, so an enjoyable experience overall.

I loved every one of these short stories!
9 short stories - I haven't read any of these before, but I have seen the adaptations. As short stories they are OK, the adaptations were excellent :-)

This was a weird collection of somewhat unsatisfying plots. Agatha Christie's writing is always charming though.
