This is a nice short horror story, the plot is common to most horror stories which is revenge. But it is depicted in a good way with the scenes contributing to the horror and the ending. it gives me chills.

If you like horror stories must give it a try as it is short and not boring.

Scary, no. But due to it's brevity and excellent writing, it's a solid four star book.

This is a perfect ghost story. The prose is descriptive but tight, the story is quick-moving but well paced, and told in a flashback but still manages to elicit quite an immediate sense of danger. It's sad without being sentimental, and just really creepy. The audiobook's narrator, Paul Ansdell, does a perfect job and has a voice I could have listened to for another few hours (the book itself is only about 4 hours, which is super fast for an audiobook). I might have another listen during next year's Halloween season.
