Best book in the series IMO. Explores the main cast more deeply than the other books and that's greatly to its benefit.

I love all of the Expanse but this book gave us a lot of character development for the crew of the Roci. The only POV chapters are Holden, Alex, Naomi, and Amos. I really enjoyed it.

I was really nervous about this book because of how it started. Everyone on the crew went their own directions but we stared to get some backstories and then watch them all try to find their way back together and it really was what the story needed (or I needed). Definitely seems like things are really about to pick up from here and I’m so excited for it. Also, Naomi is the star of this book! Also love seeing Amos and “peaches” come together. I’m always impressed when an author can make me start liking a character I really hated at first!
