I wanted everything. And I was scared that I would get nothing.
Short stories don't often do it for me, but this one did. Two friends/casual d/s play partners are stuck at their hotel job after terrible flooding, and have to spend the night. And, oh no! There's ~only one room~ left. Super steamy, kinky, lots of chemistry, and the latter half of the book where our main character is forced to examine her feelings really did it for me. It was really heartfelt somehow, even thought it was so short. Our main character is autistic; it's nice to have that rep. And it's a Christmas novella, which I always enjoy.
I do wish this had gotten a closer edit; there were a bunch of jarring punctuation errors that took me out of the story. And the ending was very abrupt, even taking into consideration how short this was. Still, really enjoyable for what it was: a quick fun sexy read.
