This book has so much potential! A book set in Disney after dark sounds amazing! Unfortunately this book fell very flat. I didn’t find the story to be particularly interesting. It was actually very slow paced and everything resolved very quickly. While I still have some questions left unanswered I don’t think I will continue on. Unfortunately this book just wasn’t what I was expecting.

I read this right before going on a trip to Disney World in hopes that it might give me lots of things to look for while I was there, as well as some special insight into the inner workings of how the park is managed. There were a few secrets in these pages, but nothing really that I didn't have a notion about already, and overall I found the story to be a bit lackluster with little emotional connection to the characters.
Before reading this book, I already loved everything about Disney, the movies, the parks, the Disney channel, etc. Now I just love it even more because of this book. I have never been to Disney World but I do plan on it and I'm going to be looking for all these things I have now read about, especially the MGM. I would like to know if those hidden letters are actually on those rides and about the whole thing of the Stonecutter's Quill.
Maybe I don't know enough about Disney or maybe it was the writing style, but I was just lost?
3.5-3.75 ⭐️s! At first it really felt like a Disney trip on acid lol BUT I’m glad I finished the story! It definitely made Disney world at night feel very creepy lol. I loved the setting of course being a huge Disney world fan, but the story just had some really odd elements. But it was still interesting! And creepy but not super creepy. Felt like a perfect book to transition me from summer to fall. Will I read the rest of the series? Eh, probably not. But if you’re a Disney park lover and enjoy a lil creepy aspect check it out!
I didn't love this book as much as I expected, the concept sounded pretty cool. I was disappointed. I don't entirely understand why some of the characters were even there. Most of the girls were basically entirely forgotten about and were very flat. Even the characters who weren't were still somewhat flat. Maybe I just need to do more research into the age recommendations for books.

I love Disney and I was really excited to read this book. However, I was sadly disapointed. I cared for none of the characters. I didn't feel that they each had a distinct enough personality. I think that the dialog was aweful and many situations are unbelievable.
Belief is supposed to bring these Disney characters to life, yet there is no sign of characters on the side of GOOD, but a brief glimpse of a few of them in the beginning. No "GOOD" characters come to the aid of the children or are even seen throughout the entire book. I had a big problem with the fact that the only Disney characters that played a role in the book were the pirates, the brainless dolls from It's a Small World, and Malificent. I think that the author was simply leaving himself material to use in future books, but in doing so left this first installment feeling completely empty.
Overall I think that this book was badly written. I think it took an idea with potential and ruined it. I wouldn't recommend it to even the biggest Disney fans.
