I has higher hopes for this book but it also wasn't terrible. I suppose it's kinda what I should have expected. I think I'm okay with not continuing this series even if it is Disney related, it's just that I didn't care for the characters and I have a feeling that it's going to drag down a firey hole.

Quite a few problems with the book, as other reviewers had mentioned. But my son and I had a decently fun time reading this book together and commenting about the absurdities in the writing.

Oddly disappointed by this book. I may try the next book in the series to see if it gets ANY better... but I don’t know.

I was unable to suspend my disbelief for this book. It was not magical. The part about the demon dolls had me going “what? Waaaait... what??!” I didn’t like any of the characters and the ending was weird and rushed. The fable of the quill was barely held together and the resolution felt like a 5 year old had dreamed it.

Do not recommend. Doubly disappointing because the premise sounded amazing too.

I see why the kids like it...very slow to start.

The concept is fascinating but not amazingly executed.

I bought these books at Christmas for my boys. I decided to read them. the first one was really good. highly recommended for Disney fans!!!

Oh this is soo good. i loved it because it takes a place everyone is familiar with and puts a whole new spin on it. i think it is so much fun to have the story take place at disney world. it is something truly magical!

A real stinker.  With characters who forget everything and never tell you what they're thinking even if what they're thinking is the answer to a mystery they refused to answer in the first book.

... The first of these YA adventure book serieses that I'm dreading continuing.  Sigh.

Maybe they get marginally better? I can hope - there are like 10 of these damn things.

Found this relic when whilst book thrifting today and had a That’s So Raven vision/flashback of me reading this book during class in 5th grade and instantly bought it. I had totally forgotten about these books but I was OBSESSED in middle school. It doesn’t hold up entirely but it’s a middle grade book so I can’t fault it too much as I no longer fit the target demographic. It was just so atmospheric when I was little that I had to re read it.

Re-read - there’s something wrong bits of information re Walt but overall I really enjoyed this book!
