Romance intenso, dramas de adolescentes, histórias pessoais intensas e bem abordadas. Não tenho muito a dizer para além de que gostei muito deste casal e da história deles.
Vejo um hype enorme à volta de "After", que na minha opinião promove imenso as relações tóxicas e abusivas, quando o "The Deal" é que merece as atenções! Vá, está na hora de fazerem deste livro um filme romanticozinho, lamechas e verter lágrima. Netflix, estão à espera do quê???

I got to chapter 27 and there's just too much spice at this point. I can't get the motivation to finish it.

The writing isn’t great, and the book is pretty predictable, but it was still enjoyable

this was an easy read and the plot was interesting enough to want to follow along. the author addresses abuse, both sexual, verbal, and physical with tact and care which added some depth to the otherwise frivolous content matter. that said, Elle Kennedy is obsessed with people who do not have brown eyes - it felt like every chance she got she reiterated Garett’s gray eyes, Hannah’s green eyes, Allie’s blue eyes, etc. and it’s like we get it! also, the way the main character, Hannah was written didn’t make sense.
1) she’s written as an arts major who thinks deeply about things (aced the ethics paper which was the reason Garrett wanted her to tutor her) and yet later on in the book she says that she doesn’t care for politics and that they bore her to no end. it really did not make sense for the character and felt like a corny thing people say like “politics bore me” when everything is political. it was lazy to have Hannah be apolitical.
2) Hannah is written as simultaneously “tiny” and as “having curves in all the right places” which i felt was a caricatured version of a woman that tailors to the male gaze in an unrealistic way. typically, people who are tiny are not also curvy and vice versa. it was just confusing to read her being described as curvy and not being thin like a lot of the other girls in school to then all of a sudden reading that she’s tiny.
