i'm the kinda person that doesnt like romantic stories that much (movies, mangas or/and book) because i feel annoying when it comes to them, i want: chemistry and dram, maybe some confusion and fights, but nothing that gets close to its limits or surpass them
because of that i usually dont like romance that much in general, i just KNOW there'll be something that'll get me 😐
but this one??? OH LORDDD, YEAHHHHH
he's nothing outta usual for ya romance, it's simple, but it does something that's so difficult for others: development
hannah and garrett are a well-developed and beautiful, but they also are individual people, with needs, stories and personality that has nothing to do with each other
half of the book we have hannah and her story, the other half its the same thing with garrett and i think that was out very well because we dont more of one than we see from the other
and while their stories and individual traumas are well-developed, so os their relationship, as a friendship or romance and theres NOTHING more beautiful than that
it's not the kinda book that'll change your life because as i said, it is simple, but it's a simple well done
it's not uniquely a romance, but if you like, separately, the main characters enough, you'll devour this book, like i did!

I didn’t know what to expect from this series, but I’m hooked. I read this in just a day and a half! As someone who is also a victim of sexual assault, I deeply related to Hannah. Trusting anyone again—especially when alcohol is involved or when trying to start a new relationship—is incredibly hard.
Kennedy did such a good job portraying the ups and downs of life after assault. And Garrett… the man that you are. It takes a truly special person to love and support a survivor the way he did. The patience, the small gestures, the way he became her safe space—everyone deserves a Garrett. And what made it even more powerful was seeing that Garrett had his own trauma from his father, yet still chose to break that cycle and love so gently.
Ugh. I’ll never recover from this book.
