I received this ARC through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review - thank you!
This is the second book I have read by this author, and I enjoyed it much more than the other (Not That I Could Tell). This book immediately pulled me in by the relatable female friendship dynamic - and then the suspense of what happened after Liza witnessed an intruder when Molly stepped away from their video session.
I enjoyed this book, although not just for the suspense. I thought that the author did a great job creating the characters, explaining the dynamics between them, and really delving into relationships and how they can change over time. I think everyone can relate to a relationship changing and how it feels to want it to go back to the way it used to be, and that was a common theme throughout this book.
I definitely look forward to what Jessica Strawser has in store for us next!

2.5 out of 5 stars.
I won this ARC from a Goodreads giveaway. The book releases on Febuary 2019. I was excited when I won this book because I really enjoyed Jessica Strawser's previous book, "Not That I Could Tell". So it's sad to say what a dissapoinment this book was for me.
I was expecting a thriller because, to me at least, it seem like it was advertised in that way. Instead this book is more of a domestic drama. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy domestic drama too but that wasn't what I was expecting.
There is basically 3 main characters in this story, Liza, Molly and Daniel. You get to follow the friendship between Liza and Molly and the marriage between Molly and Daniel. Molly is on the brink of losing her friendship with Liza and her marriage to Daniel. The way Molly treated Liza got me so mad and irritated with her. Like, how ould you treat your best friend that way! A lot of the choices that Molly was making was irritating me, honestly. And Daniel was another one that was irritating. I think Liza was the character I liked out of those 3. There is a twist to this story but to me, it was predictable and it made no sense even after it was explained. The reason behind it was just, I don't know, just made no sense.
The author is a good writer but unfortnately, this book was just not for me. But if you like domestic drama, you might want to give this book a try. You'll probably like it more than I did.

Nope... it didn't work.
A good narrative hook perhaps, but that's all I took away from this one.
This had a lot of promise, I was so taken in by the masked intruder. Who is it? Where did he go? What's going to happen? Will he return? So many questions! Alas, I was ultimately let down by how the story unfolded, and ultimately the end.
There was so much focus on the disconnect between Molly and Liza in a way that I found to have very little relevance on the "unmasking" of the intruder that I was so frustrated by the whole thing. I just keep thinking... why did I sit through all that? What did that possibly offer here?
I don't know guys, I wish I could give you more, but I'm going to bite my tongue on this one.
I want to thank NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Jessica Strawser for allowing me the opportunity to read this novel in exchange for my review.

This book wasn't exactly what I was expecting, though I was interested in following it through to see what happened. I thought it would be a page-turning thriller, but it had a quieter tone as we followed the lives of these friends. A singular moment changes their lives in many ways, exposing some deep secrets and leading them to have to make choices they hadn't forseen. Relationships are formed and some are changed in unexpected ways as the characters navigate the situations in which they find themselves. Thanks to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for the review copy!
started off with potential and quickly spiraled into too many unrelated tangents. The main character Molly bordered on being annoying and the husband's actions where not realistic at all.
I've had this happen to me with several books recently: The genre label for marketing the book is inaccurate, which resulted in my expectations of the book not being met, and therefore I give the book a lower rating than it probably deserves. This novel is labeled as mystery and thriller, and it's by no means a typical example of those genres. The writing here is solid, much closer to literary fiction. And while there's definitely a mystery and occasional suspense, it's a character driven novel about human nature and relationships, about secrets, loyalty, and reaching various life stages.
There are three main characters: Molly, her husband, and her best friend. Each of those characters are strongly connected to the others, and they all have their own side angles that bring in side characters and additional drama. I liked all the characters, even when they weren't on their best behavior. Their lives are realistic, and I appreciate the way their marriages and friendships take priority eventually.
This is an enjoyable read, if you go into it with the proper mindset. It's isn't a "gripping page turner" in the thriller sense, yet it's a compelling and satisfying read.
Many thanks to St. Martin's Press for my advanced copy of this book.

If you’ve read “Not That I Could Tell,” then you know @jessicastrawserauthor does a great job of keeping you guessing till the very end. It made me so mad (at myself) for not figuring out “who did it” until the very last few pages of this book. While there were a few parts that I felt were left unanswered, I still highly recommend this book. True to form, Strawser provides you with so many possibilities that even you would want to sleep with one eye open. It’s such a great thriller, I’d check it out! • • • PS: Not That I Could Tell was a previous @bookofthemonth pick that I also highly recommend!!
Forget You Know Me by Jessica Strasser tells the story of two friends, Liza and Molly, who are trying to reconnect over video chat. When Molly leaves the room to check on her crying child, Liza witnesses a man in a black mask enter Molly's house. Molly's husband, Daniel, is away on business so Liza does everything she can to get the intruder to realize she's on the computer witnessing his break-in. This causes a series of events that can cause their friendship to end or worse, Molly and Daniel's marriage to end.
I thought the description for this book sounded so intriguing, but once I started reading it, it really was not what I was expecting and not in a good way. I figured out who the masked intruder was way too early. There were sub-plots that were too involved and not necessary to the main story. It just felt uneven and forced at times to me. I love a good thriller, but this just wasn't that for me.

I'm not quite sure what I just read. It felt like 2, possibly 3, completely different stories that tried to come together. It didn't work for me.
