This is the second of Karen Mcmanus's books I have read the first being 'One Of Us Is Lying' and I enjoyed this just as much. Set in the same town and involving some of the same characters is a touch I liked a lot. This story line kept me guessing and it wasn't one I worked out from half way through like other thrillers, it kept he hooked right until the end. I'm looking forward to picking up her other book and reading more of her future work.

It would be a 5 star but because of the plot twists at the very end that honestly to me felt like it came out of nowhere. I still absolutely loved this book and it reminds me of pretty little liars but its still awesome, the ending was absolutely shocking 🤯

Dvě holky a dva kluky. To už jsou dohromady 4 jména, no skvěle Léňo. Hlavní hrdinové mají sourozence a rodiny, to už máme do počtu další jména. Jsou to středoškoláci, takže tu máme další kamarády a spolužáky, učitele a nějakou tu namyšlenou smetánku. Víte, kolik to je jmen? Aha, už to ani nespočítáte, co? No a to je přesně ten problém.

A ještě takovej bonus.

I thought this book was going to be a three-star, maybe four depending on how it ended. Unlike her other two books, I could not get into this one right away. The past few days, I was able to read two or three chapters and be done for the time being. When I picked up the book today, I was a little less than halfway through and figured I would read a chapter or two. Next thing I know, I finished the book.

In her other two books, I was able to figure out who was behind it but this one, not a single clue. Looking back now, yes there were a few signs about who did it but nothing that didn't fit with another character. This is the reason I am giving this book five stars. While I had theories, I was wrong on all accounts! I cannot wait to read more of her books.

‘He texted me half an hour ago: I need your true-crime brain.’ Nah I do not like the I’m not into the I love true crime and I can solve actual crimes trope! It’s no good! Ellery was really meddling! Causing problems! Disrupting investigations! Stop it! Enough!

This took sooooo long to get to the point I really had to force my self to read the majority of this book! I would have never have guessed the result! Idk if I’m dumb or if it just wasn’t set up well??? What an awful reveal though, what’s sick and twisted man!

Taking a break from this series of a novels for a bit after this. Not really for me I think. Maybe I’ll pick up the cousins in a week or so
