This one took me a while to get through. The premise was interesting, even if it wasn't super original, but the development was slooooow! There was way too much unnecessary exposition. I also found Hannah (the FMC) to be a little too "perfect" in her stepmothering. The plot twist was there, but wasn't super satisfying. It was mostly an "oh, that's what happened" moment. Not sure if I'll come back to Laura Dave's books.
I didn’t realize I chose the audio version. I have the hard copy and wanted to make sure my graph reflected what I did properly.

Pretty far-fetched but if I suspend my disbelief, it was great!
The first half or 2/3 of this book really captivated me. I thought I would rate this 5 stars, but the story completely fizzled out near the end. Not super happy with the ending and overall felt like it turned out a little blah.

Really enjoyed this! Emotional and clever.
I don't what I would feel about this book if it didn't keep me company during a four hour flight, but the fact is it did. A book keeping you hooked enough to withstand four hours of a not-even-a-child kicking the back of your seat has done its job, and done it well.
