Can I have a baby gargoyle?? I love Iggy! 😭 Alo is hot and Mir is perfect for him. I loved everything about this one!

Partying With Pixies is Mir and Alo's story. Friends to Lovers. Single Father finding love. The FMC finding her place. There were a few sensitive topics in this book that I thought Hazel Mack handled well. I don't want to spoil anything, but there was one part that broke my heart only to be resolved so wonderfully that I melted.

I swear there is some witchcraft that goes into writing these, because the whole series is consistently sweet and hot. Alo was Mr. Grumpy in the first book, but in this book he is sensative and misunderstood, with a delightfully filthy mind and mouth. And Mir, oh, I just wanted to hug her.

I really can't recommend this whole series enough.

Miriam, a pixie, has been head-over-heels for Alo, a gargoyle, and his son Iggy since they moved to town five years ago but the relationship has remained strictly friendly as Alo accepts his ex-mate situation and raises his son. Now, as circumstances change and new friends arrive, Miriam and Alo's romance can finally blossom while she secretly plans a Halloween celebration.

Since this is the third book in the series I've been dying to see Alo and Miriam finally wind up together and now Partying with Pixies is my favorite of the trio so far. Friends to lovers either really works for me or horribly fails but I love the reasoning behind the wait, the gentle progression of things, and the frenzy that finally sets in when Alo realizes that he's a big boy and can do whatever he wants. Normally I hate kids but monster kids are always better and Iggy's charming and silly with his wings and tail and scheming to get his dad to wisen up and finally pursue Miriam. Partying with Pixies also drips with Halloween vibes so if you love the holiday/season like I do, you'll adore this book. Skull lollipops, zombie glamours, Hocus Pocus references, corn maze, jack o' lanterns, the complete works. I wouldn't be suprised if I buy a physical copy of this one.

I've been waiting for Miriam and Alo's story! I would have liked more pining but this was super cute. I love these two together and the single dad trope was done so well.
