This was a fun read. And while this sounds like nothing, I mean it. Fun to read. I wasn't all too sure about book 1 because I couldn't make up my mind whether or not to like Lucien - but I liked Stephen, a lot, and thought they might make an interesting pairing in the long run. And here is book 2, and what a character development. We learn a lot more about Stephen's job and responsibilities and about Lucien's future plans, too, and Merrick gives quite an earful to Lucien (what an interesting side character Merrick is, I'd love to read more about him, too).
When Lucien finally admits, both to himself and to Stephen, that he has come to care very deeply for his 'little witch', wow, that was the sweetest declaration of love I've read in a long time.

So yeah, I'm hooked and can't wait to read more :-)

It's a four star review only because I think there's room for more, and not because I find it lacking.
