This was a cute and very easy read. Took a while to get going, and it was pretty predictable, but it had some funny lines that made me laugh and it was enjoyable.

I normally don’t go for uplifting encouraging fare, but I’m so glad I gave this one a chance.

Moderate: Homophobia, Violence

Minor: Panic attacks/disorders, Sexism, Terminal illness, Lesbophobia, Injury/Injury detail

I wouldn’t want any of these content warnings to discourage readers, bc the book is overwhelmingly hopeful. And, one should know what they’re reading. This book doesn’t shy away from the difficulties of the world but confronts them, head on with power and positivity.

Loved this! Such great characters and a fun story line. Hope they make a movie or Hulu series of it one day. Iona would be an awesome TV/movie character.
