I can definitely understand why this book is so important in LGBT culture and the writing is very honest and different and that (for me) is where the book picked up the two stars I gave it. I have to be honest and say that this was a skim read for me. I wasn't very interested in the storyline (except for the LGBT elements and discussions). I just don't think this one is for me.
