3.5 ⭐️s. This was fun! I don't think the investigator perspective is my fave, but this one kinda turned that premise on its head by exploring police corruption which I enjoyed. I was also down for the centering of missing and murdered Latina femmes. I would read more from this author for sure.

I really enjoyed reading this!! I couldn’t put it down. I picked it up at the airport randomly and I’m so glad I did. I love the feeling of wanting to read and get back to a story. Again, I don’t feel like this book was a literary masterpiece by any means, the writing and story were fairly straightforward. I didn’t predict everything, but it also wasn’t overly complex. A simple, enjoyable read
