Emilia (28) and Owen Smith(38)
Age gap, coach’s niece, dual timeline.
I will admit I mostly skimmed this book (but not the sex scenes, never those!). I think I was just tired of the same book with different characters and slightly different tropes. And this one felt a little slower than the others in the series. I want to keep reading but I’m bored with them at the same time.
The fact that they all keep saying “thank gosh” instead of thank god is so gross.
The grand gesture in this one was really cute.
3🔥 for spice because there’s more scenes than in the previous books PLUS some anal play.

In order to prove herself worthy of the director position for the social media of the Carolina Comets, Emilia, the niece of the team's coach, has to do a profile about a player chosen by the public. That player is Owen Smith. There is also a new rule against employees entertaining romantic relationships with the players. The thing is she, already slept with him a few years back, and she is still thinking about him...
This is book 4 in the Carolina Comets series, and this time it's an age gap, grumpy sunshine, forbidden, spicy, hockey romance, and I gobbled it up. The FMCs backstories are getting a bit redundant at this point, but the read was still quick and fun, with loads of grear spice. I loved the flashbacks.

4.25⭐️
Every single book in this series is so freaking good! Smith is an aging hockey player who is questioning if he wants to stay in the game or not and Emilia is on the media team for the Comets who is up for a promotion. Smith have crossed paths before but with a strict rule of employees not being allowed to date players. Smith and Emilia must avoid their tension at all costs. They decide to keep a secret bubble but what happens when it pops? The puzzle made my heart melt into a million pieces it was so cute. He knows her coffee order too even after two years. This book was so fun and sweet I loved it!
